Elbonix 50 mg medication is used for the treatment of low  blood platelet counts in adults with chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) when other treatments haven’t worked. ITP can lead to easy bruising or bleeding due to low platelet levels. In late 2012, doctors began using Eltrombopag to treat low platelet counts in patients with chronic hepatitis C, so they could start and continue interferon-based therapy.
